A frame
for the way
you live.
We craft aluminium windows that brighten spaces, connect indoors and outdoors, and stand the test of time — transforming how people see and feel their world.
A window is a frame for the way you live.
DRAWN BY XN
Aluminium is the only thing this workshop makes. After eighteen years drawing it, welding it, glazing it, and fitting it — we know every section, every seal, every screw centre by name.
The drawing beside this paragraph isn't a render or a sample. It's one of the actual details our fabricators work from — toughened Starfire glass cradled in a 25 × 40 aluminium U-channel, supported by 92 × 40 timber, finished by caulk, flashing, tongue, cement sheet, and tile. Every junction between glass and wall is drawn before a single section is cut.
Then we install. The same hands that drew the section fit the section — one team, one warranty, one phone number when you need us.
Six systems, drawn to suit any opening.

04 STATEMENTS · ON FILE
XN Aluminium was the only one willing to put in the efforts for an acceptable price to replace my sliding doors on the 7th floor of an apartment. The delivery was super quick (around two weeks from when custom orders were placed) and the aluminium frames and double-glazed windows are of excellent quality. James regularly kept me updated throughout the process, they took great care not to damage anything, and stayed at the end to double-check with me that everything worked properly. Everything went really smoothly — James was a legend and excellent to work with, he and his crew went above and beyond. I would greatly recommend them to anyone without hesitation.
Replacing wooden windows with aluminium windows of a 25+ year-old house is not an easy job. However, XN Aluminium Windows has nailed the problem with ease. Not only did they deliver high-quality aluminium windows to us, they finished the project on time. They kept the place tidy, so we didn't have to move out during the works & my mum can move around the house on her wheelchair without any problem. Many thanks for the great works.
XN Windows, James and the team were great to work with. Catered a solution specific to our house and ensured works were completed as promptly as possible. Focus on customer satisfaction was high-level and much appreciated.
XN Aluminium Windows did an amazing job at my new skin clinic in Footscray. They replaced the broken glass window on level 1 and changed it to an awning openable window in just two hours. Very quick response and great customer service. Highly recommended.
Drawings, not assumptions.
SCALE 1:30 @ A3 · DRAWN BY JT
When you brief XN, you don't just get the windows. You get the drawings — the same documentation our fabricators and your builder work from. Drawn in-house. CAD-issued. Revision-tracked.
CAD elevations & sections
Every opening drawn 1:30 elevation and 1:2 section, with operation, hardware, glass type and dimensions called out. Not outsourced.
Window & door schedules
Every opening numbered, sized, and specified so your builder knows exactly what's arriving on the truck and where it goes.
Options drawn like-for-like
When the brief has more than one path — partial replacement vs full strip-out, single vs double glaze — we draw each so you can compare with the same eye. Try the toggle on the drawing.
Revisions, tracked
Every re-issue is dated, numbered, and re-stamped. The drawing on site is the drawing of record.
From the first measure to the final seal.

The questions before the brief.
08 ITEMS · ON RECORD
/ 01 What is a U-value and why does it matter?
The U-value is the rate of heat transfer through a window assembly — measured in watts per square metre per kelvin (W/m²K). Lower is better: less heat lost in winter, less gained in summer. Our Series 38 thermally-broken systems start at 2.1 W/m²K, roughly half a typical commercial single-glazed frame.
↳ See the Series 38 section detail (A902)/ 02 Can you replace the glass only, or do you need the whole frame?
Both — we routinely do glass-only retrofits where the existing aluminium frame is sound. We'll measure, assess the frame, and quote both paths with drawn options so you can compare like-for-like.
↳ See P-03 Sunshine North · glass-only retrofit/ 03 What's the lead time from quote to install?
Typically six weeks: one for measure and quote, one for design, three for fabrication, one for install. Bespoke balustrade work or BAL-rated bushfire jobs run longer. We'll commit to a load-out date in writing once the design is signed off.
↳ See the 6-week Gantt (A500)/ 04 Is your work bushfire-rated?
Yes — we fabricate to BAL-FZ, the highest Australian bushfire attack level, with appropriate glass, hardware, and seals. Tested under AS 1530.8. We'll specify the rating per opening based on your bushfire attack level assessment.
/ 05 Do you work with builders, or only direct?
Both. About sixty percent of our work is direct with builders and architects who need the documentation to pass certifier review. We're equally happy briefing homeowners through the same drawing process — no extra surcharge, no compromised detail.
/ 06 What does the 10-year warranty cover?
Frame integrity, hardware operation, finish, and weather seal — for ten years from the install date. Glass breakage from external impact is excluded but replacement is at-cost with priority lead time. The warranty stamp issues with your install certificate.
/ 07 Can we visit the workshop?
Yes, by appointment. Our drawing office and fabrication shop are at Unit 2 / 53 Cranwell Street, Braybrook. Brief us first so we can walk you through a live job at the right stage — best while a frame is being welded or a sash being glazed.
↳ Book a workshop visit/ 08 Do you handle commercial projects?
Yes — balustrades, shop-fronts, office fit-outs, partition systems. We've delivered work at Marvel Stadium (P-01), River Nile School (P-04), and across the Melbourne CBD (P-05). Drawings issue at the documentation level required for certifier review.
